Via Afrika Social Sciences Grade 9 Learner’s Book is a CAPS-aligned Social Sciences textbook designed to consolidate Senior Phase learners’ knowledge of Geography and History and prepare them for the FET Phase.

The book is divided into two sections. The Geography section covers topics such as development, resource use, population dynamics, environmental challenges, and global spatial patterns. The History section focuses on modern world history, including major political, social, and economic changes, conflicts, and the development of societies over time.
